This afternoon we attended a program on Dulcimers presented by Wendy Grethen of DulcimersofDuluth.com. Here's a short video I made there. Last night we attended the "Summer Mini-Bash" of Lake Superior Ragtime Society. It was one of the most fun things we've done here. They had a dozen or so pianists along with a few other performers playing and singing -- some very good. Pictures Click(photos by Georgia Caldwell)
From 1957 to 1962 the US Army secretly dumped 1,457 barrels of waste from Honeywell's Army Ammunitions Plant into Lake Superior near the intake for Duluth public water supply. We joined the rally today to demand testing and removal of toxic waste from the lake.
