Last night,
Sweeney Todd opened at "The Kravis" for a one-week run. The seats were not half sold. Many, including me, didn't care for the story but I enjoyed the unique production which had all the actors also perform as orchestra members. Although one can't come away humming the tunes, I like Stephen Sondheim's music and lyrics a lot. The lyrics were difficult to hear but very clever, I thought. I enjoyed the production but wouldn't call it a "must see."
