Only 36 days remain to a critical point in our politics and even perhaps to a pivotal point in Western civilization. A little overdrawn you say? Romney's debt to the radical right is undeniable. What if a President Romney replaces Ruth Bader Ginsburg and maybe even another associate Supreme Court justice with right wing religious zealots? Heaven help us. We can expect the progressive movement to be thrown into reverse if the tea partiers and the radical right get their hands on those levers of power.

Can there be a more compelling reason to work for Obama's re-election than to have Paul Ryan a heartbeat away from the presidency?
