Sunday Walk

We missed many of you on this morning's City Walk. It was the last until the fall. I wish you could all go with us on our annual migration to Minnesota.

Movies

Today we overdid it at Movico. First, there was a pre-release screening of Shrek 2 in 3D and then we saw Babies. Shrek is fun, witty, charming and I liked it, but don't worry if you miss it. I wasn't expecting much from Babies but I found it enjoyable, interesting and with no story, relaxing -- no plot to keep up with.

"It Was A Real Nice Clambake"

We were entertained by Jim & Betty this afternoon. The luncheon, as always, was delightful and the game, as always, was Mexican train. Later, we watched our favorite TV quiz show, Cash Cab.

Burn the Floor

Last night we ushered at the Kravis for a theatrical dance extravaganza called “Burn the Floor.” I enjoyed it and was particularly impressed with the precision of the choreography. The canned music combined flawlessly with the two live percussionists. The dancers, the great high-tech lighting, and the music were all perfectly together. But, for me, even with earplugs, it was too loud.
Monday evening we went to a program at "The Harriet" by the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County for the finale of "2010 Read Together Palm Beach County." By Skype, Scott Eyman interviewed, from Australia, Markus Zusak, author of The Book Thief.
Sunday night we went to the Sunfest fireworks. As always, we felt it was the best -- This time, there were more new displays than ever.
