THIRTY YEARS AND COUNTING

Jane and I were married on January 1, 1986, exactly three years after our fortuitous introduction on New Years Day, 1983. We had very different experiences and backgrounds, with me being retired and a confirmed bachelor and Jane already having children from her first marriage. We, in sickness and in health, through thick and thin, enjoyed the good life. Our weaknesses and strengths were complementary. We both worked part-time or occasional jobs allowing plenty of fun and adventure with much travel. We treasure all those memories of the good years of car trips and camping around the country, and cruises and trips abroad. With much thanks to Jane and a lot of good luck, I've had thirty blissful years. I've made a few regrettable decisions, but for me, the marriage decision was my best ever. We're still counting our blessings and enjoying life.
