Another Busy Saturday

We went on Judy Jaksch's walk this morning and, with a dozen others, crossed the Lake Worth bridge, had breakfast at Benny's and walked back. -VIDEO
This afternoon we enjoyed the terrific Palm Beach 3 contemporary art show at the P.B. County Convention Center.
We thank Pat Barnes for hosting a game party tonight. We had a really good time. I was glad to learn about Wii and six of us enjoyed Beyond Balderdash.

Movie Comments on Earth

This afternoon at the Society of the Four Arts, we attended the screening of the 1998 movie, Earth. It is about rivalries between the Hindus and Muslims in 1947 at the time of the partition of India and Pakistan and the terrible brutality among friends formerly tolerant of each other's religion who become intolerant and treat each other cruelly. I recommend it but with the warning that it is disturbing and emotionally draining.

Moonstruck

Our monthly ritual of pizza by the ocean at full moonrise was today especially rewarding when we witnessed that orange ball emerge from the water. So often a low cloud bank obscures that magic moment.

Busy Saturday

This afternoon we volunteered at Cuillo Theatre for Looped, with Valerie Harper playing Tallulah Bankhead. We recommend this play about this very outrageous and very funny and vulgar character.
This evening we went to John D. MacArthur Beach State Park for the moonlight concert. It was a well attended and enjoyable bluegrass band.
Yesterday morning we went to Edward and Deborah Pollack Gallery on Worth Avenue to view the Beanie Backus paintings and then had lunch at Hamburger Heaven.

The Drowsy Chaperone

We attended (worked) The Drowsy Chaperone last night at the Kravis. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it. It is a delightful satirical musical comedy on the order of Spamalot.

Eleven of us had a grand time strolling the boardwalk this morning at Green Cay Wetlands. It was a beautiful morning and the birds put on a fine performance. We had breakfast at Flakowitz deli restaurant and arrived home in time for most of the Tournament of Roses parade.

Christmas Day

We were thrilled to be among other friends of Robert and Phoebe Dowdy invited to Christmas breakfast in their beautiful home in the sky. We couldn't have been more delighted.

In the afternoon we felt blessed by our inclusion in the family dinner hosted by Ron and Trish Bull in their beautiful home in Jupiter Farms. The upper right picture by Pete Holmes shows this extended family. It was a day to be remembered. The upper left photo is also by Pete.
