On March 21 we enjoyed an exhibit at the Armory Art Center and had a tour and lecture with the artist, Jane Davis Doggett. I snapped these pictures of the very large works. There were many smaller works.

Sunday Walk
Week In Review
Among the week's activities, we enjoyed concerts by The New Gardens Band, The Sunshine Pops Orchestra, The Palm Beach Pops Orchestra (described below) and The Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches -- the band I played with for a short time about forty years ago. The S.B. of the P.B. has come a long way and is a community band I would rate "superior." Thursday evening for Saint Patrick's Day, we entertained for dinner, Phoebe, Robert, Gail, and Marty and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

At The Kravis Tuesday night The Palm Beach Pops presented superstar, Clint Holmes celebrating Sammy Davis, Jr. It was a big hit and everyone seemed to love it. Holmes is a natural entertainer and really commanded the stage.

Beach Walk Today
On this afternoon's beach walk we trudged through the soft sand to see the mansions from the ocean side. The two in the beach-level view are side-by-side as the aerial view shows. Jane is standing in front of the former Abe Gosman estate which was bought by Donald Trump for $41.4 million and sold to Russian, Dmitri Rybolovlev for $94 million.

Tuesday night at the Karvis we ushered for the sold out performance by Itzsak Perlman.
Last night at the Eissey Theatre the Duquesne University Tamburitzans were really good and the night before, also at Eissey, we saw 'SWONDERFUL. But, easily, what we enjoyed the most was Tuesday morning when we saw That Mancini Magic! with Mac Frampton, Cecil Welch, and The Moon River Orchestra. It was a smashiing show, loved by everyone. I think that next season we may get tickets for the Adults at Leisure Series; It's such a bargin. I would recommend it to everyone.

Saturday
Here are a few pictures I snapped today at the Palm Beach Jewelry, Art, and Antique Show at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
Good Times
We had a great time last night when Phoebe & Robert Dowdy entertained us and another couple in their 19th floor apartment. Their hosting is always first class. It was for spaghetti and full moonrise and everything was perfect. We were delighted to meet Don and Nancy Harrison.
Last Tuesday we ushered for the Daniel O'Donnell. show. I enjoyed it more than I expected to. It was a memorable experience, not that it was musically significant but it was a really big (3 hours) and polished production and people loved it.

Palm Beach Centennial
Yesterday, as part of the Palm Beach Centennial, there was an open house at the Palm Beach Hotel, built in 1926. Jane and I enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres and music. The celebration was for the hotel's designation as a national historic landmark as well as the town's 100th anniversary of the town’s incorporation. Gertrude Matthews, age 101, played the piano. Brenda Boozer sang and clarinetist, Teddy Abrams played.
Last night we attended a meeting of the Art Deco Society of the Palm Beaches where they had an interesting program on a special style known as Miami Modern (MiMo).
